SUPERBABE 93: GATES McFADDEN

Originally describing the character as having "the looks of a porn star", it was clear in 1987 that STAR TREK: THE NEXT GENERATION creator Gene Roddenberry had way different and sexier ideas planned for the new female doctor of the Enterprise beyond the mini-skirted Nurse Chapel of The Original Series. Certainly, the eventually cast actress/dancer Gates McFadden would prove a very sexy choice and presence in the show's first two episodes (especially The Naked Now, where her Dr. Crusher is infected by a water-like virus opening up some of her inhibitions) and in the Holodeck set episode The Big Goodbye, where she got to display some classy nyloned legs. Originally fired from the the show after accusing the series writers of blatant sexism, McFadden and Crusher returned for Season Three but things were never the same again, and I thought the character, though stronger and now better acted, had lost some of her earlier desirable charms...

SUPERBABE 92: SARAH BULLEN

A rising star model/actress of the early seventies and eighties, classy British beauty Sarah Bullen would be best known playing Main Mission background technician Kate in numerous episode of both seasons of the hit series SPACE: 1999 (and if a third run had happened she would have gotten a bigger role). However, her best roles had to be as a spy in an episode of the hit ITV thriller series THE SANDBAGGERS, where she proved very accomplished in stunts and handling a gun (and a sexy rival to Joanna Lumley's Purdey in some respects), and in the slow-moving but accomplished Peter Egan-starring adaptation of A Perfect Spy.

Miss Bullen has done several SPACE: 1999 related signings in recent years and I'm told she's as warm and charming as hoped for.

SUPERBABE 91: NANCY SORELL

Adding some blonde appeal to today's SUPERBABES entry is the sexy girlie/tomboy personality that is UK model and reality TV star with the exceptional legs, Nancy Sorell, always managing to stay in the trashy celeb magazines after her prior stint in the jungle game show I'm a Celebrity, Get Me Out of Here! a few years back. Personally, I much preferred her during her lingerie modelling days (as above)...

SUPERBABE 90: LUCY BROWN

Kids and teenagers no doubt enjoyed the dinosaur fighting antics of the popular ITV sci-fi adventure series PRIMEVAL a few years back, but male viewers were definitely tuning in to drool over the gorgeous UK actress Lucy Brown, who played the slightly snooty but lovably out of depth character of government liaison Claudia, never adequately dressed properly to fight those creatures always bursting into our universe in the most unexpected of places. There was plenty of Miss Brown's shapely legs and impressive cleavage (previously and amply seen in their full glory in one of Sean Bean's Indian-based SHARPE adventures) on display throughout her first two seasons. And much welcome it was too!
