Bringing some deliciously twisted evil to her role of revenge-seeking businesswoman Elektra in the James Bond adventure The World Is Not Enough, classic French beauty Sophie Marceau, an actress of genuine diverse range, certainly gave the film and the role both a sexually charged and a memorably deranged air. One British superheroine that every man and boy had a crush on in the late sixties and early seventies had to be Alexandra Bastedo, the beautiful actress with the classy style and international looks who was a key part of the memorable crime-fighting trio of the ITC series THE CHAMPIONS. I had a chance to meet her a few years before her sad passing and she was just as attractive and charming as I'd hoped.
