Following in the great traditions of America and the super beauty of Marilyn Monroe, the blonde and busty starlets of the 50's/early 60's British film industry were soon getting into classic and desirable basques and stockings to make an impression with male audiences worldwide. First there was Diana Dors, and then came Vera Day, certainly one of the most delicious specimens of her time and a worthy pin-up dream.

She's a great actress, but I've never been a fan of Helen Mirren - difficult to pin down as a personality, with attitudes bordering on the hypocritical that seem to change with the wind and which country she's living in. Still, the fact that Miss Mirren is a very sexy lady cannot and should not be ignored, as these pictures from early and later in her career aptly demonstrate.
