Chris Carter's ambition to
not cast a blonde bimbo in the role of heroic and determined scientist/FBI agent Dana Scully in THE X-FILES, despite pressure from Hollywood TV execs, was certainly one of the best decisions ever made by a rising star creator/producer. As was his casting
Gillian Anderson in the iconic role, who soon caught male attention for her simmeringly sexy performances alongside David Duchovny. It was a role that launched her to deserved fame, and all kinds of other attention, especially so when she graced the cover of the UK's lad's magazine FHM, in a series of memorable, scantily clad images. Like fantasies of the reserved Miss Jones the secretary removing her glasses and letting her hair down, male X-FILES fans between the sheets dreams of Scully and Miss Anderson had finally come true!
