Making an impact: Ursula Andress as Honey Ryder in the first James Bond film, Dr No. |
Women want him, and men want to be him!
That's what they used to say about the sixties movies starring Ian Fleming's fiction British super agent hero James Bond 007. And they were right. Men liked the 'license to kill' idea, but they especially wanted to be Bond if they could share serious 'quality time' between the sheets with the many glamourous, exciting, exotic, erotically-charged, and truly beautiful women he regularly crossed paths and shared adventures with. And these hot Superbabes - soon known globally as 'The Bond Girls' - came from all walks and fields of life, were pretty gutsy and independent (until they got into serious trouble!), and always looked superb from 1962 to now, sixty years later.
|
Graham Rye's superlative book from 1989 remains a definite must-have celebration of the incredible James Bond Girls. |
